Euronav Ship Management currently manages the following fleet of vessels, providing full technical services. More specifically, it has a diversified team of technical superintendents, electrical superintendents and purchasers per group of vessels, who look after the proper maintenance and provisions of each vessel. Superintendents monitor the performance of the vessels by both routine reports and frequent on board visits and inspections. All vessels undergo scheduled dry dockings, which are carefully planned and with work lists developed from dry-dock to dry-dock after consulting the vessels crew and the marine department, bearing in mind suggestions for improvement and upgrades.
Plan Maintenance System: using advanced software the maintenance works of the vessel are closely monitored by Technical department.
Euronav has a Site Team based in Korea that supervises the building of all new vessels of the Company. Their services include pre-contract and post-contract consultancy as well as technical support. They ensure that the vessels are constructed in accordance with the Company’s own requirements which in many cases exceed the requirements of the international regulatory agencies. The vessels incorporate additional steel in areas subject to high stress, higher coating specifications to minimise corrosion and high specification equipment & machinery.
Since November 2005, the Team has managed the construction of twelve vessels at reputable shipyards of Korea, of which 2 VLCCs & 10 Suezmax Tankers. Currently, they are overseeing the building of 5 vessels at Samsung Heavy Industries, South Korea: 1 VLCC and 4 Suezmaxes.
