Euronav Ship Management SAS was certified ahead of schedule for International Safety Management (ISM) on its introduction and had International Ship and Port facility Security code (ISPS) implemented on its first vessel on 5 April 2004. Euronav Ship Management SAS obtained its Quality System Certificate ISO 9001:2000 on 22 June 1999. This certificate was renewed on 16 November 2006. Euronav Ship Management SAS has obainted its Environmental Management System certificate ISO 14001:2004.

Euronav Hellas has obtained its ISM certificates and Document of Compliance from the American Bureau of Shipping and ISO 9001:2008 as well as 14001:2004 certifications.

In addition to the mandatory International Safety Management Code (ISM) requirements (which are required for safety and environmental protection policies and practices), Euronav has achieved ISO 9001 Standard certification and ISO standard 14001. The ISO 9001 Standard is a voluntary standard for Quality Management Systems while the ISO 14001 Standard is a voluntary standard for Environmental Management Systems. Training is organised both ashore and on board our vessels to raise awareness and improve the behaviour of our seafarers on safety, quality environmental and ecological parameters.
