A common IT crewing tool is used by all crewing departments to propose job opportunities at any time to Euronav seafarers allowing to develop and retain competencies within the Group.
To ensure that all vessels are manned with qualified and competent crew, a detailed training matrix, which includes external and in-house training above minimum statutory requirements as well as computer-based training, has been developed and is evaluated on a quarterly basis. Training performed is being recorded and assessed, and training needs are being further evaluated during quarterly management review meetings.
Additionally, sea staff, being on leave, is provided the opportunity for shore-based training, by attending office activities, seminars and conferences and is kept in contact with the Company through newsletters and regular communication.
